What would you guys say my 72 is worth?

Hey... Im not interested in selling her... but I've been getting a lot of offers lately, ranging from 16k-24k. My Truck has wayyy too much sentimental value.. but what do you think she's worth?

2nd owner
72 SWB 1/2ton
Camper Special Deluxe
Factory AC/ PS/ PB
Front Disks
4core rad
Trans/AC cooler
Frame off, Nut and bolt Restoration.(8k)
2" Rake
Painted original GM Blue on white, with original repro. trim
90% Stock interior. Slight custom seat upholstery(500)
One of the tighest steering front ends I've ever driven
350(not orig. motor)(4 bolt main, ored .030 out, GM Vortec Heads, Comp 270 Cam, Hooker Supercomp Headers, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, 1406 carb, Steel Rods, Steel crank, Lunati lifters, Z-28 springs, Flowmaster Stage II mufflers, slightly detailed engine bay.){3k in motor)
BRAND NEW. TCI TH400(B&M RV shift kit, 2500 Stall)
Carbon Steel driveshaft w/ a loop(2k in drivetrain)
15x8" Ultra Magnum's all the way around, in P275/60 rubber(1k)
New front rotors/calipers
New PB booster
New AC Compressor
Hell.. damn near new everything.
GM Truck 12 bolt Rear, 3.73's(Eaton Limited slip)
10% tint on sides/rear, 15% on windshield
Audio: Headunit Alpine 9807[cut dash], Speakers: Alpine Type-R 6x9's in doors, Infinity 2" tweeters in dash. 2 Kicker Comp CVR 10" subs under the seat. Rockford Fosgate 601s. Alpine 90/2 (1,500 in audio)

Truck starts and purrs everytime... Lumpy cam, but a perfect daily driver. Runs 15.27's in the 1/4 on 91 Octane. 9.8:1 compression.

Handles/steers nice and tight. Almost no float in the steering, up to 110 MPH.
Stops beautifuly- Brakes are in perfect condition.

AC blows cold. Heat blows hot.

Runs at 180 degree's, even in vegas heat, on the highway. Excellent Oil PSI.

Professionally painted, but I have over 150 Hours in color sanding/buffing.

Truck is garage kept- waxed and cleaned top to bottom at least once a week.

I realize without the original motor and Trans, the truck is never gonna be suitable to a collector. But being the average joe, who's always wanted a 67-972 SWB.. what would you pay?

-Tanner

Sweet truck Tanner! Just going from what I've seen in my local truck trader and on ebay I'd say $8,500 to $10,000, like I said I'm just going by what I've seen going around lately but who knows really, I could be way off. If I were you and somebody offered me 24K I'd take it.

One of the nicest ones I've ever seen. If it was mine and it had sentimental value I would never part with it.

Damn, very nice looking truck you got there. I would not sell it unless you have too. I would take what ever somebody offers you over about 12,000 $$.

Damn nice truck. Mine will be very similar to yours when done, with sentimental value also, and I can tell you that nobody's getting mine for $12,000, lol. Now offers over $20K, I would have to consider. I've seen similar trucks bring high $30s.

Nice truck but I am curious about the camper special designation and the 3/4 ton dual diaphragm brake booster. I am pretty sure neither of those ever came stock on anything with a short wheel base. Perhaps the cab is from a 3/4 camper special?

Damn nice truck!

You might want to take this approach.

People ask me all the time how much I'd take for the Blazer or the Cheyenne.

All in all if they offered me what it would cost to buy a 2006 ZO6 C6 Corvette I would CONSIDER it.

Hahah I like that Idea BigDave.

Well, these offers were all in post-it notes at car shows... Who knows if they were BS or not. I talked to the guy who offered 24, and I told him his for 26. He never called me back. *shrug*

And Sting Ray, The truck is a 3/4 ton to 1/2 ton conversion- But its been done so cleanly, I rarely mention it(In fact, I forgot to in my post). The only tell tale signs are the resivour, the Deluxe badge on the side, and the leaves in the rear. lol. I was affraid to do it, worrying about hurting the resale value- But from what i've learned, people dont seem to care too much- and the 1/2 tons are worth more in the eyes of the average joe. Like I said earlier, the truck is never gonna be desirable to a collectable because of the motor and trans (which is the only reason why I decided to cut the dash).

I expected numbers like that... But, at Pomona, I've seen trucks very similar to mine go for high 20's, low 30's. But I guess the only thing that matters, is what someones willing to pay. =D

Thanks for the feed back!
