Arrow WTB: First Gen Blazer/Jimmy

I am new to the group, but I have been searching for a 69/72 blazer or jimmy for a couple of years now. I would prefer a vehicle that has a SM465 (or upgraded manual trans), but will be willing to look at some automatics. To specify, color of int/ext is not all that important, I think the body lines speak for themselves, but I do want a 4x4. I am located in Ann Arbor Michigan, but I am willing to travel for the right vehicle. I am not looking for a project or a show queen, just something that can be used as a regular driver with little rust. I have seen a couple of blazers on here for sale already, but I realize some of the posts are old, so rather than bother everyone who posted an ad three months ago, I felt it might be easier to just post my own want ad, my budget is kind of up in the air right now as I am waiting for my tax refund, but for the right blazer I should be willing to work something out.
Thanks everyone,
-Lee

WOW! Must be a whopper if it buys you a blazer.

Good luck with your search to the board.

I spent a summer in Ann Arbor when I was 16, nice place, cool dunes.

actually, I used to live in Essex Junction, just outside of burlington for the better part of my life....moved out here a couple of years ago to start school and work.

With respect to the tax return, no it won't buy a blazer, but it will help a little.

No one has seen a manual trans jimmy or blazer on the side or the road for sale recently?? (willing to travel).
Thanks
-Lee

Just to check, and get back up to the top, does anyone know of, or have a 69-72 blazer or jimmy that they know of for sale?
Thanks

I seen this one in north Alabama over the weekend. Some rust in the rear floor area and floor board. Outer rockers had been replaced but they did it on top of the org from what I could see. Main support rockers only had one spot about the size of a dime. Window had $3700 or 3800, but sheet had $4000??? I've got the number if you want it... but I did not talk to the owner.

Shelby987, welcome to the board!

Afew72's, that looks like a nice Blazer! I wonder if the original AM/FM is kept by the owner. Did it have the rear side panels?

I don't think it had the side panels.

I'll look at the pictures and get the number for the ones that sent the PM's.

Just wanted to reintroduce this thread to the board, the blazers I was looking at fell through, one was sold before i could get to look at it, the other had WAY too much rust for the price, and the third was out of my current price range for as far away as it was....so if anyone out there finds a good deal, please keep me in mind. (Located in Ann Arbor michigan, but willing to travel).
