I wasn't looking for another truck....

I don't know if some of you saw this on E-bay but when I did I just had to have it. I probably paid to much but I am excited none the less. I am going to pick it up this weekend.

Beautiful, original looking 68. Looks like you just drove it off the showroom (except maybe the sliding rear window). Give us the details or post the ebay addy. Please tell me you're not going to chop/shave/slam this beauty!!!

That is a funny comment on the please don't chop, lower, etc.! The real beauty of this truck is that all that I have to do is fix the interior and I am done.

breeh, thank's for posting the ebay listing. I don't think you paid too much. I've seen 'em in much worse condition than this one for more money. Let us know more after you pick it up.

I was watching (and drooling over) that auction too but just for the fun of it. Congrats on your purchase. That's a really nice 68. I don't think the price is too far out of line either.

Cool! Looks great! I've always loved the look of a stock looking 67-72 4x4. I don't think you payed to much either, over here in the Northeast that would be an awsome deal!

I am not a huge fan of stepsides but the short bed 4X4 Step looks sweet to me. I wouldn't change a thing. Not even the tires. You got a good deal there.

I saw this auction and I'm sure I recognize this truck (local to me). Sellers feedback had too many negatives for me (looks like dealer/reseller). I think this truck sat in yard of long time owner with little use for about 10 years. It was driven some and finally disappeared 1-2 years ago. Truck lived in neighborhood of lots of big deciduous trees (watch vents for clogging and buildup of leaves, etc.) I liked it as an original truck hope you get the truck with value as you assume. With these types of things get good email communications is a must. If you decide to loose the 6 cylinder let me know. Anything else I can do drop me a line.

cheyenne10, thanks for the background. I was concerned about the negative feedback also. I decided that I wouldn't pay for it until I get down there and look at it. If it turns out to not be as advertised then I will not complete the auction. I would rather risk the negative feedback then lay out $5 k for something that is not as advertised.

I wouldn't worry "too" much about those neg. feedbacks. The problem with selling older vehicles is everyone expects more out of the car than it really is. You just can't make everyone happy. Besides, 7 neg feedbacks out of almost 500 isn't all that bad. Good luck though, I hope she's as mint as the pic looks!
