Rear end gearing?

i have a 1986 K10. it came from the factory with a 305 and 700r. i got it with a 350 th350. now the kid i bought it from said the ring gear in the rear was shot so they put one from another truck in it. i got it running today and in 3rd gear it goes about 45 or so at what sounds to be 3000rpm. could they have put a 4:10 in the rear?

Its hard to say. I would pull the cover off and look at the ring. People can do weird things that's what makes it pretty hard to just say its x.xx ratio. Could have just replaced some of the parts or some variant there of. Guessing the engine rpm also doesnt help can you borrow a tech?

How tall (O.D.) are the tires?
