i can't begin to tell you of the many thousands of miles i've traveled because of people like that. the best is "RUSTFREE" they think because they put a gallon of bondo where the metal used to be that it's now rustfree

Talking

If most of the rust has fallen on the ground, then there would be just "some" rust left on the truck right?

So every time he slams the door on his truck there is less and less rust...

Hell he's probably slammin the hell out of it as we speak

Man....it actually hurts my head to think that way....

I have gone to look at several 72 Chev Super Cheyenne's, loaded, AC etc. They were 73s, made in late 72. So the titles actually said 72. The owners don't know and I am looking at 73 junk.

Hey JerseyGirl sounds like you won't be the last person to have that argument with him, unless he finds an idiot.

Yeah, that bites! Even when you try to educate these people, they want to argue with you I stopped talking trucks to a dude I met, because he won't understand that 1967 was the first year of the 67-72 trucks. I showed him proof, and he still won't listen

The dude that doesn't believe 67 was the first year is from up here, he almost bought a 3/4 ton 68, and said it was the first year for the collectable trucks. I made a 300 mile round trip to look at a 72 truck in Alabama that turned out to be a 73 body style

It could be worse....

Hey Tree, Thats nothing. Years ago I got on a plane and flew from Atlanta to Kentucky to look at a '63 Riviera that was in "mint" condition. It was "at the shop having the headliner redone". Well, it was at the shop allright... it was all over the shop. Parts of it were even outside the shop. Biggest sack of *hit I have ever seen. I was ready to kick some *ss. The owner is lucky he was out of state.... he lived in Florida at the time. The shop owner was pissed because he kept sending people over to look at it.

I definitely love the rust free thing. I can't count how many "rust free" doors I've looked at for my Z28. They all were just as bad as the one I already have.

What about all the rare 3 door suburbans?
I showed this jack ass here GM papers that flat out show the trucks havin 3 doors, and says 3 doors, bu t'ole boy stood there and argued. When I mentioned that burbs older than 67 had only 2 doors, he laughed so hard he almost spit on me. (No teeth to stop his spit)

That rare burb is still rotting in the same location it was 3 years ago when i spotted it. Nothing special, 350 powered 69/70 liftgate burb with tons-o-rust.

Yup, I had a conversation with a guy and his wife who swore up and down you could get a 70-72 2wd Blazer with rear leaf springs... I guess they bought it that way and didn't like it when I said "that's one of the nicest conversions I've ever seen".

The guy pretty much told me I didn't know my elbow from another part of my anatomy. And when I pointed out that the vin was a 4wd vin (with the K) he said "everyone thinks they know so much about these blazers, what makes you so smart?" I said, well I have 2 of them that are 2wd and had a 4wd and I also have the Greatest source of info at my fingertips (67-72chevytrucks.com!)

I wasn't downgrading his truck, it was much nicer than either of mine, but I hate to think he believes something that isn't true...
