hub swap
i have a six lug bolt pattern dana 44 can it be converted to a 8 lug pattern ? what is needed and what is different?

The easy way: find an entire 8 lug axle and swap axles. Of course you have to make sure you match the rear gears. Second easiest, still find an 8 lug axle and swap steering knuckles out. The axles will be the same. Or I believe you can swap backing plates/spindles and hubs. Still need to find the parts or donor axle though.

Going to replace the flat bed. 1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm |

Jim is correct. I have a 1/2 and 3/4 side by side. The spindles are the same in every detail except the bearing sizes. Same 6 bolt mount, same length and 4 lug retaining nuts. Just bigger diameter for the bearings for the 3/4 hub.
