I used a hippo liner . It's thick and a heck of alot cheeper than B/C torch red. It look great and should hold up really well. It truned out to be the same texture as the gauge pannel.

I had the cab of my '74 shot as well as the bed and rockers. I used Rhino-liner because I have had no luck with the homebrew roll on stuff.
It doesn't really do much for road noise, I haven't really noticed a temp issue though. |

i have do-it-yourself roll on stuff in the back of my truck from the PO and i wouldnt recomend it. but the inside of your blazer would see less traffic than the back of my truck

It's all in the prep work. If you dont scuff it with 180-320 and tack it off any product will flake off. The hippo liner is some really good stuff.

We used a product like hippo liner on the top and bottom of my floor, then colour matched the underside to the cab, hopefully it holds us well, we prepped it really well, then allowed it to dry for a couple of days before tampering with it.

Is hippo liner a DIY (do it yourself)?

Yep. It's avaible thru Canadian Tire up here I am sure someone sells it there. Make sure you use a mask or you will be stoned before you get the cab done. Dont ask how I know......................

Be careful with Line-x , It is a great product but it is coarse as hell like 80 grit sandpaper. I had it in a work truck once upon a time and the only way to clean it to where it is black again was with a pressure washer.
We have a local body shop that started doing Hippo-liner and they have almost lost there shirt with all the returns. From what I have seen it works well with good prep and moderate abuse. We have alot of loggers up here that beat the living turds out of there trucks, which has lead to the returns. Basically it all comes down to how you will be using it, and how long do you want it to last. If the truck is gonna sit in your garage forever then thats one thing, but if your gonna use it hard, thats another. Ya get what ya pay for. This is why I went with Rhino in both of my trucks...$1200 dollars for both longbeds, the cab floor and rockers on the '74 as well |

Either Line-x or Rhino makes a clean up/touch up product to get your liner black again.
