Hi all, looking for a 3.08 ring and pinion (usable condition) for my truck 12 bolt. I do have a set of 3.73 (GM) gears willing to trade for or just buy from you.

How hard is that to change out? I have 4.11 and am hitting 3500+ rpm on the highway. Talk about gas guzzling. . .

Sorry 67shortie i had a chance to check the gears out real close and they do show wear . I my-self would not use them . Jose

Actually, Jose and I decided not to make the deal, so you still up for this Bisquick? Also, do I need the carrier as well for this gearswap? If I do, have any good ones willing to sell?

I believe you don't need to change the carrier for 3.08 - to -3.73 I will have to look it up,And yes we can trade gears, I have a 3.08 posi carier,but needs clutches and some small pieces are missing.

Bisquick get first on this, your gears a matched set? Or are they mixed? Also, if I don't need to change carriers I will just want the gears

Oh, and if I did not specify or already assumed, my gears are a used set that I bought with the truck if that makes any difference.

i have a 3.08 setup that i pulled out of my pickup. the ring is still on the carrier and ready to go back in something. i have been storing it in oil. the truck had about 70,000 on it but the gears still look great.
