Question

Sorry forgot to ask my question. I'm looking to seal up around the tailgate, and liftgate better than what is there now. The original steel flat bars that run vertically along side the bed wall, that are screwed in and hold the weatherstripping are not there, and currently it has some "mickey mouse" job the guy I bought it from did. Needless to say it leaks, and I want to seal it up real good to eliminate the leakage. Should I look for the original flat steel bars with weatherstripping or does anyone have an alternative I should try? Thanks Fern..
