what rear end oil do i use? im assuming just 80W90 right? its a non posi rearend in my truck.

80/90 if you have the cash, spring for the synthetic...go for it, it is generally sold as 75/90, but it is correct thoguh.

oh, you know how much oil the rear end takes about? just fill it to the check hole right?

I use a 5 gallon pump bucket, so I can't acuratly answer, however, i would guess at less than 3 quarts.

I just changed mine @ 2 days ago and it took 2 one litre containers, so 2 quarts shd. do it. I bought the SAE 80-90W "house brand" at NAPA the parts fellow said it was actually made by Valvoline and was the better buy. The old oil in the rear end looked brutal as it was pretty low (and had not been changed in a long time) so I'm going to change it again next month to try and flush it out once more.
