71 GMC air intake vent by foot brake: floppy?

The driver side air vent flap for some reason is now kind of hanging: the passenger side opens and closes just fine... is there a connection on the back of the flap to keep it from flopping? The rod connected to the pull-knob is connected, but the whole metal flap is hanging kind of crooked... mabe something fell off?

Thanks for the tips!

Maybe the pivot pin broke off the bottom of the vent flap. Or if it has been raised, maybe the pin just popped out of the hole. To remove/install the door/flapper, lift it up and move the bottom into the cab, then pull down. If it's the pin is broken off, someone on the parts board will have a used door flapper to replace it. Teeitup should be able to fix you up.
