1967 Camaro steering in a 70 GMC
I have a 1967 Camaro auto on the column and was wondering if this is a direct replacement for my 3 on the tree column? I'm going to swap to an auto and I'm trying to get all the info in order first. The only specs I've been able to locate is that both columns are 3/4" x 36" output shaft. Also does anyone know what the length of a one piece driveshaft would be for the same truck with a 350/350 auto and a 12 bolt leaf spring rear?
Thanks, Steve |

I don't know if it will be a direct replacement, never heard of anyone doing it. You could probably sell the camaro column and buy a truck auto column. For the driveshaft we need to know whether you have a long or short wheel base.

we still need to know if it is a long wheel base truck, or a short wheel base truck.

Does it have a 6.5 ft bed or 8 foot bed?
