The Fall Guy Truck

Hi guys,

I crept in over the fence from the 67-72 message board Shhh

Just a quicky.. Anyone know what the truck was from the 80's Tv show the Fall guy was??? Was it a GMC Sierra? Any ideas? Any pics?

I seem to remember it looked kinda funky.... but that was a long tiekm ago maybe my head is fogged by nostalgia hahahah

Cheers
Lee

The actual truck was an 83 GMC 3/4 ton Sierra Classic. They did use Chevy's and GMC's from 73-83 for the stunts...

I don't see the lights in the bumper like the 82-82's had.

Re: The Fall Guy Truck

Here is what I have gathered. It has a 6" list with 36 Dick Cepek Tires. The bed bar is probably Westin. Winch on the front. 9' CB antenna with CB and PA. Hidden compartment under the box for fugitives and weapons. Axle trusses. I would say at least 9" offroad lights on the bumper and KC hi-lights and daylighters on the bar. 3/4 ton GMC optioned out with Chrome below eye line mirrors, Chrome grille. Most of the time it was a long box but a few had a short box. It had welded axle trusses. The stunt truck had a mid mounted engine which is visible in a few stunts. The initial pilot episode had an 80 GM while most of the rest were 81 and newer with the dark brown interior. It had 16" Chrome wagon wheels. Here is a link where thy are building a replica.http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=73955054381

Wow a 5 year bump! LOL Sweet link. I always loved those 80's car shows, Fall Guy, A team, Knight Rider, Dukes of Hazard etc.

Re: The Fall Guy Truck

Are you guys sure it's a 2500? I have the season 1 DVDs and could swear it was a half ton. Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention.
Any idea where I could find 8 bolt chrome wheels like that? I found a set in 6.

Also, FOX has season 1 of Fall Guy on DVD. Right after I bought it I found this- the complete collection
http://www.dvdavenue.tv/movie/action/The_Fall_Guy.html

can't wait to order it!

Here is a video of jump clips from the show. It looks like they used trucks from different years.http://blogs.insideline.com/straight...ideo-ever.html

The guy had a close match, was the correct two tone and year and was 4x4. He for some reason took the hood off of it and put it on this truck. It is a "Fall Guy" hood, saying something about Fall Guy Stuntman Assoc or another.
