Brake line question

After swapping in all of the 72 parts (that was a long weekend) I have discovered that I am going to have to make up some brake lines. The lower lines for the front brakes of both trucks are 3/16 but the line going down to the tee is 1/4. My question is this: would it matter if I made up the new lines from the tee at 1/4 or should I use 3/16 again?

Although the 1/4" line should work I would suggest using the 3/16" line as was originally installed on the 72 front brakes.
