can't really be answered until we know the application. that being said, there are much better choices if you are dead seat on a single plane intake. More than likely you'd be most happy with a Performer or Performer RPM.

single plane intakes tend to make slightly more horsepower (with the right cam and head combination) at higher RPM's. Unfortunately, you move the peak torque RPM up as well. This requires you having to run a higher (looser) stall converter. Please understand I'm talking in generalities. I'll give you an example: my engine is a pump gas (low compression) 496. My engine builder said I could easily make 50-75 more HP if I opted for a single plane intake and a dominator carb BUT it would move the peak power from about 5800 RPM's to around 6500-6800 RPM's and I would move my torque curve up the same amount. Since my goal was to keep my truck street friendly and make ALOT of torque (to get my 4000.lbs PIG moving) I opted to keep my Performer RPM (dual plane) intake. My engine dynoed at 586HP at 5800 RPM's and 600.lbs/ft of Torque at 4600 RPM's. I know MANY people running low to mid 10's with 3500-3800.lbs Chevelles with dual plane manifolds and oval port heads. Hope this helps.

probably just need to read the description. Victor and torker series for edelbrocks are single planes, the Performer series are dual. Holley and Weiand also make some good manifolds. If I was buying another intake (for my application) I'd buy the RPM Air Gap. Mainly just for the cool factor though....
