was remembering this from last week or so and i knew you were possibly considering a cam swap.bumping up that compression may in turn make your cam sound a little more nasty

yeah i had a chance at a cheap roller cam but it wasnt any bigger than what i have and i would also have had to bought lifters and the keepers. i used a compresion claculator that some one linked to me and it was 9.3 and is now 10.4. i am also going to put a 1" carb spacer on so the heat wont transfer to the carb (its also supposed to help with torque) the next thing that i will have to replace will probably have to be the rear end

Thoes heads look sweet.

How do you like the manual brakes. I just picked up my new master Cyl. Kinda hope I don't regret going manual. I have to shoot it with torch red this week.

well today wasnt very productive. i had to hit up 2 part stores to find the part i needed to put my temp probe in the head. but i got my headers bolted on, temp probe in, plugs in intake on, dizzy in, carb spacer on, linkage and kick down cable on. now i moved on to the PS pump, it leaks and i bought a alan grove bracket for it so it wont use any head bolts, but i need to drill and tap two holes on the bolck and put the gasket kit on the pump. then hopefully it can go back together.

well this PS pump is kicking my @$$ i bought aftermarket brackets for it and a seal kit since it leaks like a pig. well it was fun puting the seal kit in (not that hard) but then i put it back together and realized i needed to drill a hole in the case to get access to another threaded hole on the pump inside, well with the new "O" ring the pump did not want to come back apart. once i got it all back apart got the hole drilled and put today i started messing around with the brackets and tapping the block so it could be bolted on.then realized that my valve covers BOTH have a big hole (like where a cap would go but they arent threaded) and a PCV port. so now i have to figure out what to run in all the holes. one will be a PCV and the two big holes will be both breathers probably, but what about the other PCV size hole??? also had to go the the auto store twice to get the right size belt for the PS. and tomorrow i get to go to the dealership to find the gromets and stupid stuff. at this point i am frustrated with all the little issues and you can tell by the way the shop looks.
