62's - Would like to see what you've done

I will be shooting some pics here soon and posting them, would like to see what others have accomplished specifically on the 60-62's. any pictures of the infamous X-Frame and any modifications you have done, rear axle, front coil suspension, suspension drops, engine, and transmission upgrades etc.

Any advise on the 62's specifically -

Thanks in advance

I've owned my '62 swb fleetside custom cab for a little over 4 years now.
Here's what she looked like the day after I had brought her home. This is what she looked like up until November 24th of '04 before rearending a mini van. This is what she looks like as of now. I need to take a more current pic of her, since I repainted the steel rims, added chrome lug nuts, GMC hood, and chrome eye lids. As of right now i'm in the process of installing a shaved door handle kit in the doors.

Also have a freshly rebuilt 350 sbc & a th350 short tailshaft tranny ready to be dropped in. But since my truck came with a manual trans, the cross member where the bellhousing mounts to the frame will have to be removed so the automatic can fit into the frame rails.

Some of the other things I have done to her over the past 4 years:
Lowered the rear 4 inches,
front end 4 inches,
changed wagon wheels for stock steel rims,
rewired the whole truck,
primered her grey & white 2 tone,
replaced all brake components,
and a bunch other stuff.

Also here's some other 1962 swb fleetsides running in & around Modesto, Ca. The dark blue '62 I took a few different views of the exhaust setup, and of the chevelle headers that were installed.

Looks Great

Thanks Chevy Boy for the input, looks like you have accomplished alot.

Do you have the stock suspension in the front? who would you suggest for the rear coil drop?

those others give me some more ideas.
