Steering Stabilizer

Has anyone ever installed a steering stabilizer a 1967-72 Chevy truck? I am getting ready to put mine on but I would like to see a picture one which has already been installed. Please let me know.

Steering Stabilizer

I do not mean to burden you but can you tell me how it attaches to the vehicle on a 2-wheel drive? I got one from LMC trucks a while back and I am finally going to put it on. I have all of the mounting hardware but the instructions are pretty bad. I know one end attaches to the steering gear box but how and where does the other end attache to? Please let me know.

Mine had an existing factory setup and I upgraded to a Rancho 5000 stabilizer when I did my initial lift.

Is your truck a C or K series?

Mine is a 1968 C-10 2-wheel drive. I know one end attaches to the bracket I bolted to the steering gear box but where do I attach the other bracket to on the truck. And, where can I find a boot that covers the clinder rod on the shock? Sorry for all these questions.

Any 4x4 shop will have the shock boots, mostly red ones for free if you ask nice. Rancho gives red boots with everything and anyplace that installs lifts will change them out when the customer wants a different color. If you want to buy them they come in all colors for about 5-7 bucks a pair.

I had one mounted on my 63 but can't remember without seeing what the front end looks like. I helped the problem I was having. I do know that.
