Are they kidding?
This is in the LMC catalog. Can it really cost $399? Maybe they mean $39.99

That price is correct. They are a little less down at your local dealer. You'll get a GM part either way. I'd recommend the dealer.

That price is correct. You usually can find good ones in the parts board or on eBay once in a while, even with just a few scratches, but shipping one is around $27-$30 due to its length.

I'm not in the market for one, I just figured that if they want $399 I would let mine go for $199

That is $400.00 plus freight. Mine has a small dent in it and was thinking of getting a new one down the road but guess I will see if I can get that small dent out rather than spending that kind of money. Wow. The dent is very small but little things like that really bother me. Plus I do not know about all you guys, but I like everthing that is suppose to be working to work. I will not run around with evern a side marking out.
Just funny that way. Yes, that is too much $$$ to a tail gate band.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's that expensive for the brushed aluminum. Lots of the trim on our trucks is also stainless from the factory. That's why the mirrors, etc. still look good after all these years!
