Could the flexplate be hitting the nose of the starter?

Cracked Flexplate
Sounds like its time to replace a cracked Flexplate . If its not cracked , then the bolts that attach it to the crank are loose . The other noises sound great ! Frank

if you listen real close, youll notice that the frequency of the clicking is NOT directly related to engine RPM.. sounds like something inside the torque converter.. or maybe the front pump on the trans....

i unbolted the torque conveter the other day, started up the engine and it made no abnormal sounds. i inspected it the best i could and could not find 1 crack or 1 loose bolt on teh flexplate. its inside the torque converter or the tranny |

Still thinking Flexplate
My guess is still a Flexplate . If I was a betting man......... I think you will be able to fix it on the cheap side . I have replaced several of them before and they all sounded like that . They all stopped making the noise when the torq conv was unbolted also .It is the weight of the converter that makes it flex and make the noise when it is hooked up . Let us know what you find .

I Would Suggest To Keep An Eye On This To See If It Happens Again But Also Check Your Rubber Mount (engine Tranny Etc.) Might Be Your Prob. Btw Do You Seem To Have Any Vibrations At All That Are Unusual Some Thing Might Be Out Of Alignment Or Balance Causing The Drive Train To Shack And Loosen The Tranny Bolt ? Just A Couple Of My Thoughts Good Luck That Truck Of Yours Is Way To Damn Nice To Make Abnormal Noises Like That
