Is there a Chevy under there???
I saw this very nicely detailed 'big rig' wannabe on the Diagonal north of Boulder, CO. Never saw one before. Kit or homebuit, it looked cool. Not any bigger than the Impala rental I was driving so I guessed it has some kind of 'normal' frame underneath it.

Does that logo say Peterbilt?
It's cool! Have you guys ever seen a Grizzly? Not sure if it's a canadian thing, but they look like that size, etc, but more square and are made off 1/8" or 1/4" steel.

i've seen a few of those before most with steel flat beds, they are custom jobs.they take and older{late 60's or early 70's} big rig and mount the cab on a one ton chassis and chop and channel the hood to fit the proportions of the new frame, they like the peterbuilts because the older petes used a aluminum hood and fenders. That is by far the nicest one i ever seen.

Nope, sorry, I've never seen a Grizzly (the four wheeled kind).
But, yes, that's a 'Peterbilt' sign on the gate, and there wqs one on each side of the hood. All the details were there: side tanks, air cleaner, door latches at the bottom of the door. Whoever did this knew their stuff. Another shot, this one blurry, from the other side:

I would love to see something similar to this old model....
It was based of a '78 chevy stepside chasis... this is a newer version of the same model released just last year.

Some conversion/fibreglass Co. used to build the front end for those.I have seen Chevy and Dodge trucks with them. The first I ever saw was a 74-up Chevy wrecker.I haven't seen one in a long time.
