White faced gages

I saw one time someone had made their original guages white faced. Any info on doing this?

It is real easy...just remove the guages, then paint them with white spray paint. Then you will waht to paint the needles, I used chevy eng orange, and covered all teh guage face and shot the needle.
It all works out perfect when you consider that the numbers are not on the guage, but actually on the plastic lens.
For your acc guages, i have yet to find a cheap way to do this. You can go to Auto Zone and get the white sunpro tripple set of guages...right about 30 bucks if memory serves...but this is a custom instal, and requires cutting and running new lines ect. Look at it and see if you are up to it, becouse you'll destroy the lens and wanna cuss at me.

That's the trick. I was worried about the numbers. I didn't even think that they were on the plastic. Cool. Thanks for the info. I just installed my boost guage and wanted everything to match.

Not bad for a $1.29 and a couple hrs of work huh? Lookin good.
Also notice, a couple ppl on here had said they never noticed this, but if you look at the high beam indicater, mine is rectangular, and his is round. I think mine is out of a 71...the light glows red, and I know 72 had blue...
Not that it matters or anything...

Exclamation Not bad

I'm going to have to do that. Lets see LED windsheild washer nozzles, Universal SS bomb mufflers under the rear bumper, and White face gauges! Well the painted ones will work until I get the cash to inset White faced AutoMeters and that bad electric speedo!
