'86 air dam differences

I just picked up some used tow hooks for my '86 K10 and was told that I'll need a different air dam. Can someone please explain the differences? Thanks!

I think the sizes are short for 2wd, and tall for 4wd.
There are pictures on chevyduty.com, but not of the 4wd with tow hooks.
I think the difference is you have notches to clear the tow hooks.

I searched for "air dam".
