Hart_Rob has all the peices you would need for the frontend and then all you would need is a six-lug rearend.

I'd trade a 6-lug rear for the 5-lug rear (but you are kinda far away)

if your truck already has a 5-lug front end..you can buy aftermarket 6-lug rotors from the board vendors or Early Classis or CPP

I have what you need as far as the read. Some 6 bolt axles and some drums. You would just have to put the axles in and the drums on. Willing to sell outright for cheap.

As far as I know, you can't just change axles. The 5 lug diffs are wider. Now it's possible that a later model 4x4 may have the same shaft as you are needing.

Actually a rearend from the last half of the 70 model year is the same width as the 71 and up rear ends.

To change your front, you would have to buy special 6 lug rotors from someone like GMCPaul's. But you won't have to change anything else on the front end. I think they're $85.00 a side.

Cheapest way to go is redrilling your rotors, axles and drums if they are in good shape. Our local machine shop charges 25.00 for each rotor or axle plugged, drilled with new studs installed.

I have a set of 6 lug axles also have a complete front suspension with drums and lowering springs for both front and rear. I also have a set of the blazer rims with tires, But as to note a little like Krue stated about axle lengths, if they switched out the whole rear and put in the later rear end in your truck you will have to switch it out for the earlier rear end, I believe it was 70 & up the 5 lug setups where wider and needed longer axles. Some have adapted the longer axles to work in the earlier diffs by making some sort of spacer in the axle bearing area.

Thanks for the reminder...I had forgotten about those.

Bowtie67, that should read "71 & up....."

70's had 6 lug.
