Removing ignition switch
It's been awhile since I pulled one and the search is disabled, so could someone shed some light. I'm boneing a 72 1/2 ton with more rust than metal and all that's left in the cab now is the ignition switch and it's a good one.

THe bezel should unscrew from the switch and it should fall right out if iirc Randy

You have to have the key and a paper clip to get the bezel off because you have to take out the ignition lock before the bezel will come off. Put the key in stick the end of the paper clip into the small hole and push in ( about 1/4 inch)the release pin and turn the key counterclockwise. It should come right out lock and key. Sometimes it takes me a couple of tries but I always get it.

Well yes and no, the bezel does loosen up nicely, but then it will not side over the stainless part that the key goes through. If memory serves you have to remove the tumbler assembly by sticking a paper clip in the little hole near the key. I guess I'll just cut the dash and be done with it and figure the puzzle out later.
