wtb 5 speed tranny
I am looking for a good 5 speed manual for a 4.3 or 350. I am putting a 350 in my 95 s10 and the current tranny is the one piece bellhousing from a 4cyl. It wont work so I need one that will.

Is the NV4500 geared that low? I was unaware. I know they are quite plentiful.
What would you recommend for a cost effective alternative that'll hold up a 350?

To Hold Up ? A Th400 Or TH350 For the most part Overdrive Transmissions arent that strong 4L80E Excluded but thats A P.I.T.A. To get right
NV 4500's are a truck transmision the shifter would be too long for use in an S10 Not To Mention How its a Top Loader and requires a bolt in floorboard to work in a large truck . NV3500's are junk Ive Had problems with them behind 4.3 V6 i dont think there is a cost effective alternative . |

Not to be a broken record, but what manual trans would you recommend?
Th400 & th350 are both autos.
