1971 Valuation

I have found an unrestored 1971 Chevy truck that I may purchase. I was hoping for input on what it may be worth.

2 wheel drive
shortbed stepside (no cut out for spare)
wood bed
cargo light
Cheyenne package
automatic tranny
factory ps/pb
factory air (not all parts are there)
body has dings but could not find significant repaired damage
not original motor/tranny unknown
All around decent shape but needs restored.

Got any pics? That would help us guess without offending anyone.

This is how I look at any project. What will it take, time & money, to make it as I want it. How much did you wan to spend for the finished truck? Do you want a project for X number of years? Do you want a finished driver? Make a list of all the parts you want to add or will replace, find the prices and total them up. Scary! don't even think about your time because most Classics are not worth $100K

i'd say $1200-$1800 range. without pics it's almost impossible to say though. i assumed it's a v8 truck.
