unno but my dad told me that they were junk carbs but thats his opinion i took my q-jet off and replaced it with a holley 650 but i want a demon 625 right know

You would think they would be good, but I have heard that they are of low quality. I have not used one, but I have pretty much been told that all of the rebuilders, Holley included, sell junk.

I think that is why the new (rather than rebuilt) Edelbrock quadrajets and the $250 replacement carb they sell are so popular.

i bought a rebuilt edelbrock from northern a year or so ago...it worked perfect....saved me a bunch of $$$

Sounds like it really depends on "who" rebuilds the carb. IMO

Certainly. I should have clarified. I am speaking of the auto parts store type rebuilders, of which Holley is one. Those are available through auto parts stores around here, or were when I was looking for one a couple of years ago.

They aren't too picky about their cores, and don't put out a very good product. Unfortunately, this can be said about most of the rebuilt parts I find.

The quadrajet on my coupe was rebuilt by a local, respected shop about 15 years ago, and is still going strong.
