New white "Kayline" unopened original soft top FOR SALE
When I heard that the Kayline convertible top company was going out-of-business about four years ago, I contacted them and purchase one of the last tops they had in stock (they told me they only had 10 tops left for the '69-'72 Blazer at the time) as I wanted to restore my K5 to its original '72 glory. But, an unexpected job transfer to England and an unfinished restoration kept the top unopened and its original carton. I would put a photo on the posting but it would just be of an unopen box!
After a long think, I have decided to part with this top and thought that it could find a good home to a true K5 lover. If you are interested, I will take $550.00 plus shipping. I realize that this is nearly what a top ordered from STC or Bestop, but I would like to recoup my money out of it and it is possibly on of the last new Kayline tops out there. |

What color is it? Is it snaps or fasttracks? Does come with the frame? Would you take 450.00?

The FastTrac tops are still available. $560 to $640, depending on where you buy it. Expat, if bobshotrodblazer doesn't want it, I'll give you $450 for it as well.

Do you have to drill holes in the truck for the snaps

Ya have to drill holes for all the tops. The Kayline on my '69 has rails that run along the top of the bed with the snaps in it, much like the "track" on the fastTrac. When I compair the Kayline on my '69 to the fastTrac on my '72, the number of holes drilled in the body are just about the same. The difference is with the snap tops, you put snaps in the holes, with the fastTrac, you screw the "tracks" on (there are three snaps on each side of the windshield frame on the fastrack.

fastrac imo is way nicer, its like a jeep wrangler soft top, as far as how it connects w/ out buttons.

I've got both. The snap top is much faster to put up and down - no windows to unzip, fold an put in a bag. As far as the looks, the fastrac looks smoother without the snaps.
