71 grill on a '70?

My friends son bought my '70 from me, and it needs a new grill. He prefers the grills on the '71 and '72, and was wondering what's involved with putting a new '71 grill on it?

Thanks,
Scott

Pull the bumper and swap away. They will interchange as long as you are not going GMC to Chevy or vice-versa. The benefit will be that it will end up with a much nicer looking grill too!

Thanks da-burb! That's what I thought when I looked at it real quick in the dark last night, but wasn't for sure. He'll be glad to hear it. Of course, now he'll be after my grill!

You will also have to change the front bumper, turn signals, and front bumper brackets. 71-72 have the turn signals in the bumper and not the grill like the 69-70. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Swap the hood release lever and grill support that runs from the hood latch to the lower part of the read cradle... different grill support between the years also.
