I was wondering the same thing. I have a 69 SWB and was wondering if my 89 SWB frame would fit without major modification. It would be cheaprer than upgrading all my suspension components to 5 lug and disc brake.

my guess is it would be really close. we put a 96 fleetside bed on my buddies 70 shortbox and i bleieve all but 2 holes bolted up. not saying this constitutes a simple frame swap but im sure the specs are within reason to make it happen without too much suffering.
