Suburban values?
Does anyone know of a good place to find out what a '56 suburban is worth? A friend of mine has one he wants to sell,before his neighbors start stealing parts off it while he's at work.
Thanks for any leads you can throw my way. If you're interested,I can answer most of your questions,or I'll ask the owner for you. Speed

I would be interested, price depends on condition of course and completeness. Seats , glass , tail gate etc.
I just bought a 58 panel in pretty good shape in Texas for 2200, running and drivable. you have to find somebody who wants one they don't sell like the 67-72 burbs do. Thanks, Steve |

Steve;
It seems to be complete,is w/o third seat,glass is good,it has a 327 and SM 420,The engine was installed on a badly done crossmember-welded in,4 barrel,single exhaust,column has factory turn signals, radio delete,dash looks good,sheetmetal looks pretty straight,painted grille and bumpers,not much rust,seat springs appear to be good,will need upholstery. Tailgate and back window are intact and work.No brakes, engine would probably run,might need engine gone through,has another smallblock in the back,I think it was pulled to install the engine thats in it now. Has a broom paint job. Any more questions,ask and I'll ride out and find some answers. Thanks! Speed

Pete;
I just talked to the owner and it sounds like he thinks it's worth about 3,500.00.He said he thought it should bring 5K,I told him I've been seeing pretty nice ones for around 3,500,and he didn't argue,so it sounds like that's the neighborhood he's thinking about now. If you're still interested,I'll see if I can brow-beat him into a lower price. Also,let me know if you still want some pics,and I'll go shoot some when I can pick up another camera. Speed
