Front bumper brackets different? 68 Chevy vs 71 GMC
I am finishing up my front end swap on my Jimmy. I am putting my 67-70 Chevy bumper on it, and the outer bumper brackets from the 71 GMC are too far inward. Are the bumper brackets for 67-70 Chevy different than the ones for 71-72 GMC?

The outer brackets are different for bumpers with the lights verses the
ones that are solid with no lights, also different from 2wd to a 4wd.

That's what I always thought too. This new bumper has the holes about 2" farther out than the old one. Must be an aftermarket thing. I will have to use washers and try to get these brackets to work.
