I bought a flexplate from Advance Auto parts, like the second time I ran the car I put it in the counter-weight broke off the flexplate....
I think the brand was motormite...I ended up taking the original flexplate off my 86C10 parts truck. Advance does sell some other brands, I think B&M. If not, I order from JEGS online, free shipping and I get the parts quick too(like 3-4 days). Heres a pic of the weight that broke off, I wasnt too happy...

I got one from autozone for about 25 bucks. It was pioneer brand, I haven't had any problems with it. There are 2 different stock starters. one for the 153 tooth and another for the 168. Make sure you have the right starter. You can tell the difference as the bolt patterns on the starters are different. The 153 has a straight across bolt pattern, and the 168 is staggered. To tell the difference on the flywheels without counting the teeth is you can measure them across. the 153 is about 12" and the 168 is about 14". Hope this helps.

I bought a cheep one from oreilly's for my 72 and it was 21 bucks for a 168 tooth. Even a good b&m isnt too outreagous. I got one from summit for the 63 and it was only 75
