what seat fits what

I found a very nice bench seat from an '87 gmc 3/4 ton truck. will it fit into my 1972 cab without screwing with the mounting holes? thanks

Probably not if you use the 87 mounting brackets. I can't swear by this, but if you unbolt the brackets and use the seat brackets from the 72 you should be great. I think the holes might even match up on the botton iof the seast, but it's easy to make new ones if they dont.
