BobbyK, I was down there yesterday from noon-4 cruising between 16 mile and 696, not sure if you saw my orange 72 K5 or not. I didn't see any other 1st gens out there yesterday, but I'm heading back out there in a few minutes. I'll send you a pm.

Hey MichiganK5...I think I saw you heading south when I was going North.Did you have the top off and about 4 people in the truck? If so,then ya I saw you.I was too slow with the camera though!
The Cruise was great! I was there both Friday and Sat.Sat. much more crowded though. Supposedly 1million showed up for the cruise despite the intermittant rain. Loads of cars and trucks, both rods and rats...loads of COPS too! I didn't take as many pic's as I should have as I was alone and was trying not to rearend the car infront of me. It was bumper to bumper for about 20miles! Loads of cops out there too!But there was still loads of guys burnin rubber!

BobbyK, yep that was me! I only made it out on Saturday and for a short while on Sunday. Darn, didn't see your K5! I was doing the same, trying to avoid hitting the car in front of me while watching the cars on the side of the road. And trying to subside the pain from my sore leg as I held in the clutch for hours in that traffic!! My parents were in the truck and I need to get the pics they took from the cruise. AMAZING cars and trucks out there as usual.
I think the rain may have kept some people away which is good because it was very crowded. Next year you'll have to park over at my friend's place right off of 13 & Woodward for a bit or at least pick a place to meet for a little while. Yep, it's a lot of traffic and people, but I can't wait for next year! |

Hey sounds good.
I wanted to park and walk around but finding a place to park was impossible! My brakeing leg was fatigued enough, couldn't imagine doing that cruise with a standard trans.
