another Noob

Hey all, I'm Kurt. from Albuquerque, NM. I'm 18, planning to go to WyoTech at the end of september, 12 months straight through. here's a little background on my hot rod... I picked it up from an older guy three years ago, seemed like a good truck at the time... it really had it's problems... bad electrical system, wiring harness, the engine was on its last leg, as well as the transmission. so, it started getting mods. last october, spun two rod bearings in the old 350, so I took that opertunity to built a good street/strip 388 Stroker. built it all in my garage, took about 6 weeks start to finish. had enough toruque to blow the New Process 4 speed transmission, so it got replaced in January with a TH350 with a B&M shift kit, and a 2400 stall converter. new suspension came along eventually, No Limit Engineering "Fat Bar" 4 link out back with Aldan Billet coil-overs, dropped it about 6 1/2 inches. the front got a set of drop springs and a new set of Doetsch Tech Nitro Slammer shocks. has mild sound system, Pioneer deck, Sony Xplode 6 1/2's in the doors, and a Sony Xplode 10" sub with 500w Xplode amp. bumps alright. shot it primer black in July. put in buckets out of an '87 IROC Camaro. MB Motoring "Overdrive" wheels, 16x8 all around. Dunlop tires up front (245/65/16), Kumho Exta STX's (275/70/16) out back. futire plans include: super/turbo charger, not sure which one I want. TH400 transmission. a posi. custom interior work. and a few other things. so that's my GMC, just a daily driver and dragstrip hauler.

Take care,
Kurt S.

Welcome from NorCal. You need to post pics of your truck. You will find that everyone will always put this in a thread without pics!
