any tranny guys out there

i just brought my truck back from the shop,and it seemed like it took forever to shift out of first,i literally had it up to 5K rpm to get it to shift,it is a fresh rebuild with new fluid,any ideas

What tranny is in it? Is the vacuum modulator hooked up?

TH350 or TH400...the vac line came off on the intake/carb, or on the line, or on the modulator. you can shift it manually untill you get a chance to fix it.

its a th350,after looking closer the vacum line on the carberatur that goes back to the tranny wasn't fully on the hose,maybe that was it,haven't had a good enough chaNCE TO DRIVE IT AGAIN TODAY

the other thing is that some of the vacume modulators are adjustable. if it isnt one of those two it is in the valve body
