Post Motor stalls

The little 307 was purring along. Today it started dying everytime i came to an idle. It would run rough then quit.If you pump the hell out of it at idle it will finally rev back up. The tach seems to be jumping around also. When going over 1000 it seems to be okay. I have noticed a little loss in power to. It had a carb rebuild, fuel filter, pts, plugs, etc about 6 months ago and was doing fine. Today it must have been mad at me. Anyone? P.S. no vacum leaks or noticeable problems..Timing chain?, vacum advance? junk carb?

It wouldn't hurt to take a look at those points again. They should be a light gray with no pitting.
