WTB Inner Roof
My inner roof is rusted in front and above both doors, further than the patch panel that's available, my parts truck is rusted also but not as bad. Any one have a junk cab with a good inner roof? I figured back to the panel seam would be the best way to replace an inner roof any way. Any tips on inner roof replacement? Seems like drip rail would be place to cut out old one instead of windshield lip.

I got the same problem with one of mine. Some say cut the top off and replace. But I was thinking about cutting from the windshied ridge inside back to the seam above the rear window. Would be interested in what others think too. I have a couple parts trucks with good roofs, but probably too far to ship.

Good Question
I also have the same problem with my cab. Has anyone out there tried this repair before? What is the best way to do it, chop the whole top or replace the inner panel. Would you do it again or replace the cab? Looks like it would be a difficult repair since most of the work would be done over you head. Thanks.

If you look closley at the pinch, spot welds you will notice this complete inner top and back separate from the outer, I will almost bet you will find nearly as much rust on the inner side of the outer skin as you will on the inner piece, I think the best way to make the repair a lasting one and not just a band aid would be to separate the inner and outer do the repair and treat all the rust then use weld thru primer and spot weld it all back together. LOTS OF WORK!
