header question
I have a new 68 truck with headman long tubes on it and the fit is bad on the passangers side it rubs the frame bad. My question is is this normal or did he just not use the right part number? the headers look pretty banged up I am sure they were on somethings else before. My question is I would like to get some that will clear the frame better is this possible or is there issues with them all? Or any that fit really good not so concerened with them hanging down only lowered 3-4.

I had to take my Hedmans back off and dimple in the one tube that was against the frame. Worked out well. I don't think there is a header in the world that fits perfect...good luck

I also have headman headers. Mine touched both frame rails. I had to grind the frame a little, about 3/16 of an inch. No more problems. I had a '65 chevy truck at one time and put a set of Hooker headers on it, no problems.

I put a set of Hedman 69096 coated headers on my 70 and they fit great.
