Wood bed rear cross sill help
I just pulled my '67 wood bed apart today to see what is shot and what is still good. It looks like the rear cross sill would be alot of work to save. No biggie, I'll just buy a new one. But wait, no one lists one for a wood bed??? What is the difference in the wood and metal floor on the rear cross sill? Does in fact, no one make one for a wood bed? Could a metal bed sill be fab'd into a wood bed sill? What's the chance of coming up with a good used one?

It's a Java based website, but they do list a rear cross sill for the wood beds. Last edited by FormerMember; 09-26-2005 at 11:15 AM. |

There is quite a difference between the two parts, and the work to modify the steel floor rear sill is extensive if you would want it to look like the original wood floor rear sill. We make these parts and the quality/fit is excellent. The catalog link above doesn't take you directly to the rear sill information because of the way the site works in the online ordering system. Here is another link which is to the print catalog. http://www.mar-k.com/cross_sills___rear_cross_sills.pdf Let me know if you have questions. Mar-Ktech
