Would this work?
On my 85' 2wd the front end sags about 2" lower than the rear, I want to level it but dropping the rear is not an option. Ive seen 2" lift springs on ebay for like $120. I was wondering if I could swap coils from a GM 3/4 or 1 ton pickup in the same year range? Will they fit and would they raise the truck much? Anyone got any collecing dust?

The 2" difference in height is about normal for a stock 2wd. Drop shackles in the rear would get you about 1" drop for less money and effort than lift springs in the front. I was in Lexington this week on business, like the pretty countyside.

I replaced my front springs with HD replacements from my local auto parts store. It raised my front end up so it was level with the back. I think they cost about $75, and all the local stores had them in stock. You can see pics here:

you have to take your spindles off when you put the springs in, always a good idea to get it re-aligned..

My alignment shop was able to align the truck with the regular and the HD springs. There were no problems with uneven tire wear or anything else when the HD springs were in.
