I would like to know if changing my bench seat to a bucket would add any legroom. Are buckets more comfortable? The bench seat aggrivates my back problem.

IMO, I always loved a bucket over a bench...takes away the stock look (unless you get blazer seats) but better. Comfort always depends on the type of seat you get... what I did was go to a junkyard and sat in every seat they had... when I was satisfied on comfort and features (6 way power, recline, seat heaters) I baught... Just make sure that they will fit and you can get or make an adaptor bracket if needed.

buckets over bench every time, comfort and space between the seats for that cup holder or armrest you always wanted. great neck support, the only difference is looking through the back window and seeing two headrests (or go with lowback buckets)if you need height, van seat spacers work great, with square metal tubeing strips mounted to the floor for quick brackets. even late model 60/40 split bench w/ fold down center console is even better than that ol bench. Happy swapping

Are you talking about factory buckets?If you are wanting to put other seats in,you can probably find a more comfortable bench or buckets.

I put a set of original buckets in to replace the original bench. Didnt gain any leg room. The buckets were redone with new foam and they are not the most comfy. I went back to the shop that did them 3 times till the foam was half way OK. He added some for a lumbar suport. You could always add an adjustable lumbar to any seat. I had the shop add heaters to mine. You can get anything you can think of added to seats, you just need $$$$$
