Andy, You got it. Sorry I did not respond earlier...doing an Andy on the 400...clean and paint. I will pull the heads to see if it needs rings but hoping I can paint it and install it. Wouldn't a set of Vortecs, a cam and an intake add a little life to that motor...LOL! Send me your email again.

Best Regards,

Mike

where do you find these sales brochures? I would like to decorate my "room" with the like.

for the record the difference between a rattle can rebuild & an Andy Engine is the first one will last for at least 3 weeks & handle 3000 RPM. LOL (JK Andy)

I'm going for the high performance build, using ceramic high temp engine paint...I expect to get at least 6 wk and 6,000 rpm!

If I tell you where I am finding these I will probably never get another one for $3.00...LOL! PM sent.

Re: Cool '69 Longhorn Ad

I have 5 or six ads for 67 trucks. They are cool. Only paid about 30 bucks for all of them, but it will probably cost over 100 to frame em all.... so they sit in my closet.

Any chance you could send me some Hi-res pics of yours too?
Maybe we should just have a place to post all of the adds we all have.
That would be real cool, but lots of bandwith though.

Re: Cool '69 Longhorn Ad

I'll try Andy. Probably won't be till early next week. Need to borrow my GF's digicam. I think I have 4 or 5 67's (cause my truck is a 67) and a 68, I also have 2 or 3 for 58 apaches (my other "project" I haven't touched in YEARS)

I have several from Life mags, as well as all kind of cars. Unfortunately in a move oil was spilled on some of them, discolored in couple corners.

Re: Cool '69 Longhorn Ad

Well, first the semi obviouse... I am Andy.

On my longhorn, I spent many moons installing a caddilac 425 big block while trying to not spend any money on it. (hence...the many moons part) Anyways, once I finally got rid of the real problem (wife) my truck was up and running in no time (comparitivly). I drove it home from the shop on sunday morning....blew the engine on the way top work on Monday, and cried untill the following monday.

Re: Cool '69 Longhorn Ad

truckdude, ROFLMAO...forever after an "Andy" will be the code for a rebuild with a can of Krylon!!!!! But it has to be really good Krylon...the high temp kind!!!!!

55chevy, Get a rope! Seriously...high res copies would be cool! I am going for an ad from each year Longhorn. When we talk Longhorn Man into getting the site up we are really going to make it tell a story.
