Where do I find................
Parts and shop manuals for a GMC V6? Mine has got a new fuel pump on it, and I like to know where I can find parts if she ever breaks down on me (rebuild kit, gaskets, valves etc.)
I also would like to have a good shop manual on GMC V6's, more than less a 305.......where do i find them??? Thanks |

Re: Where do I find................
I haven't found a rebuild kit for a fuel pump (not that I have been looking for 1), but I can get a replacement at my local auto parts store for 32 bucks, if you maintein that V-6 it will last you for a long time, I've had mine for a couple of years without anything major replaced (except oil)
This motors were designed to last for a long time |

Re: Where do I find................
Board member Erl has copies of the 305 factory rebuild manual that he can
sell you. I bought one and it's worth the effort and cost. Most parts can still be bought at Napa. Contact Faxon Auto Literature in Corona, California for the factory rebuild manual for your specific truck. Their tel.# 1-800-458-2734. Also, if you want a set of headers for your 305, check out my post in the 60 thru 66 parts section.

Re: Where do I find................
The generic books that you can buy at autozone or whatever really don't tell you much, I dont' even think they cover the old V6 engines. Your best bet would be a factory GM manual, but ones for GMC's are really hard to find. You can find the Chevy books that cover 10-60 series trucks on Ebay all the time.
