Code questions//??????

I am about to type my new service parts id sticker for the glove box door. On the original glove box door it's easy to read one of the codes but hard to read the description. It looks like 4M38AB - 4M???B Turbo Hydromatic but on the invoice it reads 4M49AB Turbo Hydromatic. It almost looks like the invoice number and desc. are in the desc. of the label but with a different code (4M38AB). Does that mean it had a base turbo with some change or something?
ALso, I can read what is in the "W/BASE" or the"SE" section. What goes in there for my 69 C10, 350 engine, auto, A/C, SWB?.

Re: Code questions//??????

I didn't find anything that said "M38" in my '69 Truck Data Book. I vaguely recall a similar notation on my sons' '69 C-10, though. I know that his truck had a TH-350, but it was installed some time before we bought it, in '99. My '69 says M49, for the transmission, and I know it has a TH-400.

I don't know for sure what all you are looking for, but what I interpret from your post is the following: For a Series C-10-Fleetside Pickup, the SWB model is CE10734. The 350 engine that it probably came with, is like mine....a 255HP, 350CID and is an LS9 code. The A/C code is C60. Surely, there are more options that came on it.

I don't think I can give you any more than this, without knowing other information, but maybe this will help.

Re: Code questions//??????

Thanks for the info. My invoice says M49Ab on the tranny but says 4M38AB on the glovebox. I guess what I am really asking is what is the description of the code 4M38AB. I can only read the part that says "trubo hydra" but is says something just in front of that but is is worn off.

Also on the label I can not read what goes in W/BASE area or SE area. My truck is a 69 C10 with a 350 engine and I think a 350 tranny, with A/C.
On the original invoice i have it says "Model CE10734. By the way Chevloray, this truck was originally purchased in AR.
