70 c-10 back half

Here are some before and after pictures of my 1970 c-10 pickup. It has been back-halfed from the back of the cab rearward. The bags are going to be mounted at the end of trailing arm. One off Watts Link will be used as the axle locating device. These are just a few pics more will be posted as progress continues.

The inside of the bed is colormatched rhino liner but the floor of the bed is geting completly cut out and replaced with a floor that contours the rails

Re: 70 c-10 back half

how much of a step would you say that is? also do you have any kind of mesurements you could give me. i'm thinking about doing the same thing and knowing what angle to set the rails starting behind the cab as well as how long the sections need to be and what size rec tube to use would be very helpful.

thank you,
brandon

Re: 70 c-10 back half

What additional clearance did you gain where the trailing arms (eventually) hit the frame?

Re: 70 c-10 back half

I am using 2X4 square tubing and the frame rails have alot of rake in the front to clear the trailing arms. As of right now i have 73 dollors in tubing an about 40 hours time but to have this done it would cost a lot more

Re: 70 c-10 back half

This will be very easy to duplicate i still have all of my angles and measurments and I would build another. all said and done with metal and labor your probly looking at $2500. I live in fredericksburg, VA If you are close i would gladly give a hand.
