Bed swap question
I have a '67 fleetside long box. Can I put a stepside bed from any 67-72 on there? Will it bolt right up or is it a big deal? Thanks

Re: Bed swap question
They will swap. if your stepbed is not complete, you'll need different cross sills and the wiring harness for the step bed. Other than that, it is unbolt, lift remove, then drop on the newbed and bolt her down.
EDit...Oh yeah, for looks you will probably want to switcxh rear bumpers depending on the type bumper you have. The step bed bumper is a lot narrower.

Re: Bed swap question
If it works for the LWB trucks can I assume that I can swap from a SWB stepside to a SWB fleetside easily?
BTW I am new to this board and am still looking for a truck. SWB stepsides seem to be more plentiful than SWB fleetsides. Thanks! |
