Truck looks really good. Since you asked for suggestions, I suggest painting it the original orange. What are your color plans? What does the glovebox say the color is called?

i've got a stepside bed off a '94 that i'm planning on using. i will shave the rear steps add a roll pan also rework the wheel wells to match the front ,but plans could change if i find a good useable correct fleetside.

in the rear i've used a 6" early classic enteprizes kit with supertrack bar, shock relocator, shocks and axle saddles the rear axle is from an '86 with 4.11 and posi. the front frame was z'd 3" with the complete front cross member and suspension from an "86 c\10 added with 2" springs . also in th rear the trailing arm crossmember was flipped over and 4" rings welded in for exaust to go through . there will be no ground clearance issues on this truck as with my last truck. and on the trailing arms the seam were welded up for strength

the sticker in the glove box simply reads orange/white. my color aren't final yet, but i'm thinking a candy brandy wine over silver twotone ,or the orange found on the '04 lamborgini marcialorgo ,yes i know thats not spelled right, but thats my two picks so far.

Nice truck. Can't wait to see it done. What size rims and tires are those. I love the look of those cragars!

the rims are 15" x 8" with 4" backspacing alll the way around. front tires are255/60/15 and rear is 295/50/15. rear needs to 10" wide with 6" backspacing.

Re: 68 pics from new guy

That rear frame crossmember is in backwards.

The big hole is for the light wiring harness, and it should be on the driver's side of the truck.

Nice big shop by the way....

Re: 68 pics from new guy

tx firefighter, that crossmember has been flipped around correctly and moved foward slightly to mount the fuel cell. previous owner had the crossmember flipped around with some sort of car gas tank rigged in it , also cut a big hole in side of the frame rail filler neck.

I'm in Birmingham and was wondering if you still had those parts trucks available. I'm doing a '68 longbed.
